What is?
Pores are the openings of pilosebaceous units to the skin surface. Enlarged pores might be disturbing. They are related with the excessive oil production of the skin.
Causes
Collagen diminishes due to intrinsic and extrinsic aging. Skin looses its firmness and pores become more apparent. Excessive sun exposure due to working outdoors or outdoor sports is also another reason. Progesterone is a hormone wich might increase sebum production. During menstrual cycle one can observe changing oiliness levels on their skin.
